Elizabeth A. Justice (lawyer)
After completing her undergraduate work at Harvard, Elizabeth A. Justice received her law degree from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University in 1983 where she was a member of the moot court team. She has been practicing law in central Indiana since 1989 and opened her solo law practice in 1998.
She enjoys giving presentations to the public in small groups and at seminars for lawyers on topics such as probate, wills, guardianship, and powers of attorney. She is especially proud of her work with the “Reality Seminar” – a two-day event held each year which helps introduce attorneys to the best practices and the realities of running a small business. She co-chaired the seminar in 2014 and chaired it from 2015 through 2018.
Meeting clients in person and getting to know them as individuals is important to Elizabeth. When she is not working for her clients, she enjoys gardening, art, history, travel, and spending time with her family.
Elizabeth is an active member of the League of Women Voters, Kiwanis (president in 2017), the Women’s Legacy Fund of Montgomery County, Temple Israel in West Lafayette and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
Litany Pyle (lawyer)
Litany grew up in Fountain County, attending Fountain Central, but graduating high school from the Indiana Academy. She then obtained a BA in Economics and a BA in International Studies from Southern Illinois University. After enrolling in law school at IU McKinney School of Law, Litany began working for the Indiana House of Representatives. She continued this job even after graduating and passing the Indiana Bar in 2017. She joined Elizabeth Justice’s office in December of 2018.
Working to get to know clients and the community is very important to Litany. She is a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Covington and hopes to get more involved in Montgomery County. She enjoys hunting and competes in archery competitions around the nation in her free time.
Patrick Burnette (paralegal)
Patrick received his BA from Valparaiso and a PhD from the University of Chicago in 1997. After teaching English at various colleges and at Crawfordville High School, he began working with Elizabeth Justice as a paralegal in 2007.
Patrick is a member of Christ Lutheran Church and plays saxophone in several local music ensembles. He is always happy to work with clients on non-legal matters such as updating case files and assembling accounting data. He also provides light tech support for the office. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar paralegal section.
Meghan Lamar (paralegal)
Meghan graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 2005 and received her associate of applied science in paralegal studies degree at the ITT Technical Institute in 2013. She has worked with Elizabeth as a paralegal since 2014. She currently lives in Lebanon, Indiana and enjoys visiting her old hometown for work.
Meghan is a member of the Lebanon Christian Church. She enjoys working one-on-one with clients to help them resolve their problems. She loves spending time with her daughter and hiking.
